Project Description

This historical Brooklyn Heights Brownstone’s common space and entry needed a facelift. The co-op brought us on to give it some visual love and sophistication.

The common area had not been refurbished in over 30 years. The look was frumpy circa 1980s. Our concept was to give it a cosmetic makeover with a distinctively contemporary mood. Leaving the beautiful bones in tact we added new door moldings and a neutral metallic forest patterned wallpaper. The chandelier we chose for the entry was decidedly architectural and adds an inviting modern elegance to the space. We replaced the old wall to wall carpet with a chic gray runner, exposing the beautiful original wood stairs underneath. The addition of streamlined bronze sconces further tie the design concept together. All in all, our interior design concept comes together to invigorate a once tired space, leaving a sophisticated common space worthy of this Brownstone’s storied neighborhood.
